Our Favorite After School Snack

This post is sponsored by Shamrock Farms. All opinions expressed are my own.

Before I had kids, I always thought my future kiddos would eat whatever my husband and I would eat. I wasn’t really a picky eater, so I just assumed my kids wouldn’t be either.

Fast forward to today.

There are days when it’s a serious struggle to get my daughter to eat anything remotely healthy. Nutrition is super important to my husband and me, so whenever we can find something we both approve that my daughter also likes, we want to scream from the rooftops (not really, but we are pretty dang excited).

When my daughter gets home from school, she’s always ready for a snack. One thing we all agree on for her after school snack is chocolate milk (which is proven to be a great option for kids because they get the flavor they love with the protein and key nutrients they need to grow strong, healthy bodies).

Our go-to chocolate milk is Shamrock Farms chocolate milk because it’s a nutrient-rich food, with 8 grams of protein per serving and a key source of 9 essential nutrients.  It’s locally sourced from its own state-of-the-art family farm, and has no growth hormones like rBST. What makes Shamrock Farms so good is its proven three-generation hand-crafted approach to making the purest freshest products.

Milk (including chocolate milk) is the #1 food source of 3 of 4 nutrients of concern (those that are lacking in children’s’ diets) calcium, potassium, vitamin D. This makes us all feel better knowing that it’s helping contribute towards the vitamins and minerals she may be lacking from her picky eating habits.

While I know this phase is short lived, it’s reassuring to know that we have SOME options that we all love!
